Rendering in GCP with Elastifile

Google Cloud Self-Paced Labs

Overview

Rendering jobs are typically high compute processing under significant time pressure, so the ability to complete them more quickly and complete more parallel jobs provides real value. With Elastifile as the POSIX file system backed in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you can easily setup your render farm and split the processing streams onto multiple compute nodes, significantly reducing processing time. The elastic nature of the public cloud also allows you to scale the storage and compute farm easily and quickly according to rendering job demand.

In this lab you use Elastifile Cloud File System (ECFS) to run your rendering compute resources to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You use Blender as the rendering software.
