Please note that Kubernetes version 1.7.12-gke.1 is not available any more, and Helm does not work with the latest one. I had to substitute version to 1.7.12-gke.2
Parts of the lab didn't work - couldn't set the container version to 1.7.12-gke.1(invalid version) and had to use the solution posted in https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43499971/helm-error-no-available-release-name-found to install mysql using helm (including trouble with setting the rolebinding permission -https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46307325/gke-clusterrolebinding-for-cluster-admin-fails-with-permission-error?rq=1). Also get_helm.sh didn't work with a local run-through of this lab.
Its a good intro to Helm. A couple of points to note, it probably worthwhile making clear - that the latter commands for the mysql client are run from inside the container. Also creating a separate tab to perform the container/mysql commands relating to the tag means that the password is still accessible from the command line.
Wow, my beloved mysql
